Associate Professor Petras Rakshtikas - painter, sculptor, poet, prose writer.
He was born on December 18, 1956.
1980 graduated from Shiauliai Pedagogical Institute (now Shiauliai University). Since 1983 until 2016 worked as a lecturer at the Faculties of Humanities and Arts of Shiauliai University. Since 1996 docent. Categories: painting, graphics, sculpture, ceramics, photography, literature.
Organized 40 author's exhibitions in Lithuania and abroad.
Petras Rakshtikas is a member of the Lithuanian Artists' Union. Member of the Lithuanian Writers' Union.
Sculpture, oil painting and pastel predominate in his work.
2006 - Awarded Shiauliai City Culture and Art Prize.
