Marusya Dram was a Ukrainian painter, graphic artist, and illustrator, known for her unique, delicate, and instantly recognizable style. Her gentle personality was deeply reflected in her artworks — graceful female figures often depicted in intimate, emotional moments, surrounded by flowers or in quiet reflection. She created exclusively by hand, using traditional techniques and in recent years focused heavily on oil painting on canvas. She never used digital tools in her work.

Education and Career:

1985–1989: Dnipropetrovsk Art School (Artist-Teacher)

1991–1997: Lviv Academy of Arts (Art Textile)

2004–2016: Senior Lecturer, Department of Drawing and Painting, KNUTD (Faculty of Design), Kyiv

2020–2024: Teacher of Special Subjects, College of Technology and Design (Department of Graphic Design), Kyiv

Since 2004: Private tutoring in academic drawing and painting

During the Russian invasion of Ukraine, Marusya lost her home and was forced to move several times, living with strangers far from the horrors of war. The emotional and physical toll of displacement, uncertainty, and isolation weighed heavily on her kind soul. As the festive season of Christmas and New Year 2024 approached, she could no longer endure the pain of this world and passed away, leaving behind a poignant artistic legacy that continues to inspire many around the world.
